Bill Justice

The man behind two of my favorite things, the Silly Reindeer and the equally Silly Buffalo, passed away this morning.  Bill Justice was one of my creative idols.   I got to meet him only a handful of times in my career, and once he even telephoned me at work just to compliment me on some drawings I did for his granddaughters.  He will be missed.

This hurts - I was very fortunate during my tenure with the NFFC to have spent some time with Bill and have some wonderful memories of a warm, generous and funny man with a wicked sense of humor and a way with a tale that would have you in tears - from laughter - last time I saw him was at his Disneyland window ceremony - a wonderful day -
I will remember him with love and miss him.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I liked Bill a lot, he and I got to be pretty good friends back in the 1990s. My favorite memory of him was at a birthday party of his, and everyone wore nametags with their favorite Disney-themed quote. I chose a line from Alice "Three inches is such a wretched height" He was highly amused and ribbed me constantly about it.
