|Tangaroa-Ru, the East Wind|
Debuting June 28th and 29th at Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room 50th Anniversary Merchandise Event
|Pele, Godess of Fire and Volcanoes|
Both lidded mugs are 10.5 inches tall, made of cast stoneware, and are open editions (!). We have four more items being released at the event, as well, so stay tuned.
Note: If you can't make it to the event, Disney recommends contacting Disneyland Merchandise Guest Services at 877-560-6477 the Monday following the event (July 1, 2013) to inquire about remaining merchandise items. Also, in the days and weeks after the event, remaining product will be distributed to locations throughout the Resort, but most likely art and collectible specific locations.
So how, exactly, am I s'posed to be in Orlando AND Anaheim at the same time?
The dilemma, dilemma...
JMG: Luckily, you only need to be in Anaheim. It'll all be there, including the Polynesian Luau Bowl.
Problem solved! :)
Kevin - As a former Tiki Room Host, Tiki collector, and fruity drink drinker, I'll BE there! The mugs looks GREAT! They will find an honored place in my collection. Will
We've taken the MIA-SNA redeye for flimsier excuses than THAT!
These look wonderful! My head is exploding with fire in anticipation!
Hi Kevin. These are amazing! Are you aware if these will be officially purchasable online anywhere?

I am looking forward to the 50th Anniversary Event! Just completed my RSP and both of your mugs and both of your bowls are on my list! Hopefully, I will be able to catch you during the artist signing at the event! Mahalo! :)
Just picked up both mugs at Disneyland - they are gorgeous! Although my tangaroa-ru Mug had a tag that said "rongo tiki mug"!! It's even showing up on ebay labeled that way. Funny typo - but a real tiki room enthusiast will know the difference!
Thanks Dramabug! You're the first person (other than us) that we know of who has noticed the wrong tag on Tangaroa-Ru. Although we designed a custom tag for the "goddess of the East Wind", Disney goofed and put Rongo's tag on all of them. No one seems to have been bothered too much by the mistake, as the mug has been a top seller for us. We'll post a downloadable version of the correct tag for detail-oriented people like us who may wish to print out their own and set things straight.
Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for sharing your info. I really appreciate your efforts and I will be waiting for your further write ups thanks once again.
