Both sides of the roof open out flat on the floor, and fold up for storage.
Built of 1/4" plywood, and pine molding, with a sheet of heavy clear plastic for the windows. The roof is painted with one thin coat of brick-red paint, and the shingles are simply drawn in with a soft pencil and a T-square. So easy. I seriously want one of these.(And you can get the perfect furniture for it HERE... including a teensy Hemisphere Chair!)

It's funny but I wanted a doll house for many years as a small child and I never did get one. Every time I see a doll house now, it just sparks that memory.
Of course you'd need to install interior lighting so that you get the same look as the first photo! There's something so appealing about miniatures. For a while my sister had a miniature Christmas tree, and every year I would go to this amazing store and buy tiny toys to go on or under it. The store is gone now....
Wow! That is a cool doll house. I don't think I was that cool of a kid so I had to settle for a Bozo doll and Gumby figures. :)
That’s so funny! When I was a kid, my friend had a cabin near Lake Tahoe that has almost the exact same layout.

Aw this reminds me of the best vacations of my childhood. We used to stay in cabins that looked just like that dollhouse.
