1955 Concept and Final Poster
The orange and black Casa de Fritos restaurant poster is one of my favorite vintage Disneyland posters, ranking up there with the Grand Canyon Diorama and the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea posters. I like the stark contrasts of the colors, and the fancy details on the mysterious charro in the foreground.

The Casa de Fritos building is also depicted on the poster.

How strange, somehow I am thinking of the opening of the 60's TV show 'The Wild Wild West'.
Zorro also came to mind.
The only one of these posters that I ever saw for sale went for well over $10,000 (at a Howard Lowery auction).
Thanks for the concept artwork, it is interesting that it shows a more traditional American cowboy, while the finished product used a fancy Mexican/Spanish type.
Beautiful poster!
OMG! This is the best blog of all time! Thank you!!!
