ReplyDeleteI found out about the Frito Kid after I got the Disneyland Frontierland pewter set as a gift years ago(created by you and Jody, right?).
Thanks for posting that. Funny thing is making it actually made me hungry for fritos. I seem to be susceptible to vintage advertising. I bought a kodak brownie flash camera off eBay once after watching commercials with for it on one of those Disneyland television shows on dvd.

ReplyDeleteThat was AWESOME. I never experienced the Frito Kid magic firsthand, it was a tad before my time sadly. Did that music actually play with the spiel? I've always heard that music mixed in since the 50th anniversary recordings came out but have been told that the actual spiel was voice only.
